Workshop held on April 14 2020

Intro to DJing - Workshop hosted by Remote Access, D-Grade and Mvcoko.

This was Digital Hell:Open World’s first workshop! This workshop focused on introducing DJ topics such as how to start DJing on your laptop for free (we looked at Virtual DJ), guides to DJ gear and software, finding music, learning genres and terms, and the instructors’ personal experiences of how they started to DJ. We also fielded a lot of questions from the chat!

Workshop held on April 21 2020

Our second workshop was hosted by D-Grade of Australia, a diverse and powerful DJ known for playing everything from explosive high-energy rave sets, to dynamic and challenging festival performances, to slow, thoughtful and complex experimental sound collages. They covered topics such as organizing your music, the fundamentals of importing and preparing tracks in Rekordbox and advice on structuring a set playlist for a \gig, mix, or show. They also went over explanations of fundamental gear and how to use them such a CDJs, USBs, and Headphones!
